Mission statement of the Division of Healthcare Management And Occupational Safety and Health(DHMOSH)
DHMOSH under OSO seeks to protect and promote staff health, sustain and improve their working capacity, contribute to a safe and healthy working environment, and promote the adaptation of work to the capabilities of staff, taking account of their health status.
DHMOSH develops and aligns its activities with the organisation's strategic priorities, specifically focusing on the managerial mechanisms required to address systemic occupational health, safety, and medical needs related to the United Nations staff's expanding worldwide field presence.
The Mental Health Strategy for Uniformed Personnel is one such priority. Through its implementation and the rollout of the Digital Mental Health Platforms, DHMOSH aims to make Mental Health support accessible, diminish barriers to help-seeking, and reduce stigma regarding Mental health concerns among the United Nations Uniformed Personnel.
